Blotter: Backseat Romance Interrupted by Police, Drunken Woman Arrested

In a separate incident, police say a caretaker allegedly stole furniture and appliances from a home she was supposed to watch.

Police responded to a suspicious person call at a storage facility interrupted a romantic rendezvous, according to a recent police report.

Officers responded to a storage facility on the 4100 block of Robert Trl. S. at 10:47 p.m. on April 20. The caller told police a suspicious vehicle had pulled into the facility's parking lot. Police found a male and female making out in the back of the vehicle. The female driver admitted to drinking at a nearby bar before driving to the parking lot. She was arrested for a fourth-degree DWI.

April 16

9:34 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call at a business on the 3500 block of Hwy. 13. The caller told police that six tires worth a total of $2,500 were stolen over the weekend from an unlocked shed.

3:39 p.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking call at a business on the 2900 block of Lone Oak Cir. The caller told police that a fired employee threatened to come back to the business with a gun. .

7:39 p.m.—Police responded to a three-car accident involving at least one injury on the intersection of Denmark Avenue and Yankee Doodle Road. Airbags deployed on two of the vehicles, and one driver got out of the vehicle before collapsing while holding her wrist. The injured woman received medical care. Police cited one driver, who ran a red light while driving westbound on Yankee Doodle.

April 17

9:45 p.m.—Police responded to a theft report on the 1700 block of Monterey Ln. The caller told police that a caretaker staying at the property since January made off with a fridge, washer, dryer, garage shelving, furniture and other items.

April 18

11:15 a.m.—Police responded to a criminal sexual conduct call on the 3600 block of Denmark Ave.

6:52 a.m.—Police responded to a car crash involving at least one injury at the intersection of Diffley Road and Trenton Roads in Eagan.

April 19

7:52 p.m.—Police responded to a shoplifting call at a department store on the 1300 block of Town Centre Dr. The caller, an employee, told police a man was attempting to steal shoes and seven pairs of jeans. Police intercepted the man and his partner and cited both for theft.

April 20

7:11 p.m.—Police responded to a theft call at a department store on the 1300 block of Town Centre Dr. A juvenile female was cited for stealing $14 underwear from the store. A citizen's arrest was made before police arrived on scene.

April 21

12:03 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 1700 block of Gabbro Trl. The caller told police someone tried to break into a garage an hour ago, and found pry marks on a service door. The caller believed a barking dog may have scared the burglar away.

4:41 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic call on the 1700 block of Gabbro Trl. The caller told police that he had taken a knife away from 14-year-old female who was out of control. The female then ran outside and proceeded westbound down Gabbro Trail. Police met up with the caller at the intersection of Blackhawk and Gabbro, and apprehended the teenager. She will be charged with fifth-degree domestic assault.

6:30 p.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 3200 block of Black Oak Dr. The caller told police someone broke into his car overnight and took a public address speaker, DVD players and a checkbook.

April 22

4:37 p.m.—Police responded to a shoplifting call at a store on the 1300 block of Town Centre Dr. The caller told police a shoplifter ran out of the store with a computer and monitor and entered a gold-colored Cadillac. Police eventually apprehended two individuals.

9:48 p.m.—Police responded to a car crash involving at least one injury at the intersection of Coventry Parkway and Dodd Road. One driver received a minor head injury. Both vehicles were towed.
