Blotter: Burglars Hit Two Eagan Businesses

Two burglaries, a fight and a drunkenness call were all included in the Eagan police reports for Feb. 6-8.

Feb. 6

7:28 a.m.—Police responded to a report of a burglary at on the 3500 block of Pilot Knob Rd. The suspects broke two windows and took money from the till. It appeared that the burglars broke the first window to see if the alarm was working, and when police didn't responded, they continued into the business, according to the report. Police took photos of the scene and collected security footage from the business.

7:58 a.m.—Police responded to a report of a burglary at Valvoline Rapid Oil on the 1100 block of Yankee Doodle Rd. A window had been smashed and a cash drawer taken. The suspects were driving a dark minivan and a dark sedan, according to a person interviewed by the police. Police collected security footage from the business.

12:28 p.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking report on the 1000 block of Walnut Ridge Dr. The caller told police that the father of her granddaughter threw the granddaughter's items on the lawn last night and stabbed a knife into her wall.

8:46 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a fight on the 3400 block of Wescott Woodlands. Police broke up the fight, which was between a group of girls. No weapons, drugs or drinking were involved in the altercation.

Feb. 8

6:49 p.m.—Police responded to a drunkenness complaint on the 4100 block of States Ave. The caller told police that her father was drunk, urinating all over the house and threatening to kidnap her. She and her two children were locked in a bedroom of the home. Police arrived and took the man to detox.
