Blotter: Police Find a Group of Teens in Possession of Alcohol, Marijuana

In a separate incident, a woman was transported to the hospital for an overdose after taking as many as 300 pills.

April 1

9:53 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call at a restaurant on the 1500 block of Cliff Rd. Two men were issued a citation for illegal consumption of alcohol, and one of the two was also cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

6:38 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 2000 block of Silver Bell Rd. The caller told police that someone broke through a window on his vehicle and stole two rifles out of the car.

5:32 p.m.—Police responded to a car crash involving at least one injury at the intersection of Cliff Road and Interstate 35E. The caller, a witness, told police one car ran a red light and had ot swerve to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

9:47 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 4200 block of Heine Ct. The caller told police that someone broke into her home while she was gone and took food that she left out. She told police she had problems with someone that she met from Craigslist earlier in the week, and had since changed her locks.

April 3

7:15 a.m.—Police responded to a drug overdose on the 1700 block of Serpentine Dr. The victim was unconscious at the time of the emergency call. The caller told police the woman likely took as many as 300 pills of various medications the night before. The woman was transported to Regions Hospital.

11 a.m.—Police responded to an overdose on the 3900 block of Cedar Grove Pkwy. The caller told poliec a woman had intentionally overdosed on Saraquil. Although she was conscious, she was not alert at the time of the emergency call.

11:28 a.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 4400 block of Slater Rd. The caller told police someone had fired a gun at his house twice. Police investigated, and found no evidence of gunfire, but believe the noises may have been emanating from power lines near the house. The homeowner is going to call Dakota Electric.

April 4

2:07 a.m.—Police responded to a domestic call on the 900 block of Wescott Trl. The caller, a woman, told police a male had hit her in the face and had punched a hole in the wall of her apartment closet. Police arrested the man on suspicion of fifth-degree domestic assault.

April 5

8:21 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary on the 4000 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. The caller told police someone stole a welder between April 2 and April 5 from a storage unit.

11:02 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 3200 block of Denmark Ave. The caller, a manager at a Sprint store, told police that a "scruffy-looking" man stole a Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

1:07 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 1300 block of High Site Dr. The caller told police she believes some has been regularly coming into her apartment. She noticed that a surveillance camera in her residence was pointed at the ceiling, and that Vicodin kept in her bedroom lockbox had been removed.

2:03 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 4000 block of Hwy. 13. The caller told officers that someone had cut the lock off a storage unit and put a new lock on the unit.

10:14 p.m.—Police responded to a damage to property call at the intersection of Cliff and Dodd Roads. The caller told police someone threw a bottle of beer at his car, breaking the windshield.

April 6

12:03 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 3600 block of St. Francis Way E. The caller told police that he came home to find that someone had broken in and taken two shotguns. The caller found small marks on the garage service door.

12:27 a.m.—Police responded to an assault call at a restaurant on the 1900 block of Rahncliff Ct. The reporting party told police that he was punched in the head after a group of men confronted him and a friend about talking to a girl. Both victims said they had been drinking, and both declined to press charges.

8:29 a.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking call on the 1300 block of High Site Dr. A woman told police she was late dropping off the kids that morning, and that her husband threatened to kill her as a result.

1:33 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call at the intersection of Cliff Road and Lake Park Drive. The caller told police she was out walking and found a Cub Foods bag filled with women's underwear. The woman said she left the bag where she found it.

11:21 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call at the intersection of Nicols Road and Silver Bell Road. Police arrested and released at least two teenagers found drinking and smoking weed in a vehicle. The 17-year-old drive blew a .023 blood-alcohol level and the front passenger was in possession of marijuana and blew a .03. Two other people were present at the scene, but were not cited.

April 7

6:22 a.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call on the 4500 block of Nicols Rd. The caller, a taxi driver, told him that his passenger was drunk, loud and refused to pay. Police arrived at the scene, and administered a PBT to the passenger, who registered a .28 blood-alcohol level. Police took the man to detox. The cabby also received the $25 fare he was owed.
