Blotter: Feces-Covered Couple Was Heavily Intoxicated, Living in 'Trash House'

Police say the man had a .356 blood-alcohol level, while the woman blew a .42. Both were transported to a local hospital.

Police responding to a medical call in Eagan found a feces-covered, heavily-intoxicated couple living in a "trash house," according to the most recent Eagan police reports.

Police and medical personnel were dispatched to a home at 11:06 p.m. on April 28 after a 51-year-old man told authorities that he was suffering from an apparent overdose, and that his girlfriend was spitting up blood. Emergency responders found the couple living in squalor in a home on the 1700 block of Deerwood Drive. The home was covered with feces and urine, and alcohol containers were scattered throughout the residence, according to police.

Both the man and woman had feces and urine on themselves, according to police. The man blew a .356 on a breathalyzer, and the woman blew a .42. Both were transported to Regions Hospital.

3:41 p.m.—Police responded to a theft complaint at a department store on the 1300 block of Town Centre Dr. The reporting party, a store employee, told police a young man in the store had taken a new pair of shoes out of a box, put them on, then put the old pair back into the box. 

4:58 p.m.—Police responded to a dumpster fire behind a  building located on the 3000 block of Courthouse Ln.

9:19 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 3000 block of Eagandale Place. The reporting party told police a peeping tom was spotted in the area, and that another resident in the area had chased him away. The suspect took off in a silver SUV.

April 24

10:17 a.m.—Police responded to a theft report on the 3400 block of Pilot Knob Rd. The caller told police she left a purse on a bus, and when she recovered it, she found out someone had gone through the purse and stolen roughly $200 worth of items from it.

3:30 p.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 1300 block of Town Centre Dr. The caller, an employee at a department store in the area, told police a woman stole $200 of perfume from the store.

6:47 p.m.—Police responded to a medical call on the 1800 block of Trailway Dr. Police found a 32-year-old male unconscious and not breathing after an apparent methadone overdose. Emergency personnel were able to revive the man, and transported him to a hospital.

7:21 p.m.—Police responded to a criminal sexual conduct call on the 3400 block of Washington Dr. The caller told police she was drugged and raped by her boyfriend on March 24 at a local hotel. In a controlled phone call, the suspect claimed the rape was consensual. Police planned to follow up with the suspect and get a statement from him.

9:53 p.m.—Police responded to a mutual aid call at the intersection of Interstate 35E and Pilot Knob Rd. Police arrested a man after he drove off the road into a ditch, then drove back onto the road. The driver appeared to be under the influence when police stopped his vehicle. When officers searched his car, they found a large amount of crack in the care. The man failed several field sobriety tests—even falling asleep during one of the tests. The man was jailed on possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree DWI charges.

April 25

2:17 p.m.—Police responded to an assault call at a daycare facility on the 4500 block of Scott Trl. The caller told police her son was assaulted at the facility the previous week.

April 26

3:26 p.m.—Police responded to a criminal sexual conduct call on the 1500 block of Lakeview Curve.

9:29 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 1300 block of  Town Centre Dr. The caller, a retail store employee, told police that a man and woman stole a laptop computer.

9:46 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic assault call on the 4500 block of Hay Lake Rd. S. The reporting party, who called from Pine City, told police that a 27-year-old man caring for the caller's four children was hitting the caller's 16-year-old son, and had tried to break through a bedroom door to get to the caller's daughter. Police responded to the home, took photos of the victim's injuries, and arrested the man for domestic assault and five outstanding warrants.

April 27

4:20 a.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 4600 block of Ridge Cliffe Dr. The caller, a taxi cab driver, told police two passengers tried to pay for their fare with a gift card, then fled into an apartment complex.

9:56 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 900 block of Aldrin Dr. The caller, a business employee, told police someone stole a trailer and Bobcat vehicle from the address.

10:28 a.m.—Police responded to a car accident with at least one injury at the intersection of Cliff Road and Nicols Road. The reporting party told police a car struck a pedestrian in the street.

April 28

12:05 a.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking acll on the 4400 block of Cinnamon Ridge Trl. The caller told police a renter living in the basement of his father's house had been threatening to burn the caller's 17-year-old brother with a cigarette, and had been making inappropriate sexual comments. Police instructed the caller to seek an eviction.

9:29 a.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call at the intersection of Beaver Dam Rd. and Shale Ln. A man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:11 p.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking call on the 4300 block of Bear Path Trl. The caller told police a man threatened to kill her and her family and sent a threatening text message that read: "Guns are ready and they are loaded."

April 29

2:04 a.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call at a bowling alley on the 3800 block of Cedar Grove Pkwy. The caller told police a man at the business was trying to pick a fight with another customer, and that two more people were trying to break it up. Police transported one man to detox.
