Blotter: Group Attacks Woman with Mace

Plenty of fights and domestic calls in this week's edition of the Eagan police reports.

April 4

11:16 a.m.—Police responded to a domestic incident on the 4700 block of Snowbell Pt. The reporting party told officers her boyfriend had choked her, took her cell phone, then left in a vehicle. Police tracked the vehicle and eventually arrested the man, who was charged with domestic strangulation and interference with a 911 call.

3:48 p.m.—Police responded to a robbery call on the corner of Letendre Street and Valley Ridge Drive. A female victim told police that four males ages 25-30 years old started grabbing at her and trying to take her purse and iPod as she was walking home. The males left without stealing anything when a bus drove by.

7:50 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a burglary on the 1500 block of Deerwood Bend. The caller told officers that a heavy-set male broke into her house by forcing the front door open. The male ran away when a female resident approached the front door. Nothing was taken from the scene.

7:57 p.m.—Police responded to reports of a fight on the 3200 block of Hill Ridge Dr. A caller initially told police that 15-20 parents and children were fighting in a backyard. One of the reporting parties told police that 4-6 teenage boys came into the nieghborhood looking for another teenage boy. The intended victim ran into a house to escape the boys, and the residents of that home became involved in a physical altercation with the teenagers.

April 5

4:38 p.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking incident on the 4500 block of Villa Dr. The reporting party told police a female threatened to kill her and put her hands in the shape of a gun while issuing the threat.

10:33 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic incident on the 4700 block of Lenore Ln. A male caller told police his ex-girlfriend keyed a car and hit him in the mouth before leaving. The woman also assaulted the male's father.

April 6

10:34 p.m.—Police responded to a rolling domestic on Interstate 35E. A male allegedly punched a female three times while driving and refused to let her out of the vehicle. Police arrested the man for a DWI and fifth-degree domestic assault.

April 7

11:41 a.m.—Police responded to a personal injury accident at the intersection of Elrene Road and Wescott Road. An SUV containing two adults and three kids attempted to flee the scene, but due to damage to the vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. Police arrested the driver of the SUV for a DWI and hit-and-run charges.

2:10 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic incident on the 1900 block of Ridgecrest Circle. The reporting party told police her 17-year-old daughter, pushed, kicked and punched her before leaving the residence.

11:03 p.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call on the 1000 block of Kettle Creek Rd. The reporting party told officers there was a loud party next door and that at least one party-goer was now throwing up in the neighbor's yard.

April 8

4:38 p.m.—Police responded to a damage to property call on the 1000 block of Northview Park Rd. The caller told police he or she heard two loud cracks the night before, and woke up today to find two windows shot out by BB guns. The reporting party believes the suspect may be a neighbor.

7:58 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a fight on the 3200 block of Valley Ridge Dr. The caller told police that a 12-year-old girl fought with a 10-year-old girl, but that the fight was broken up by the 10-year-old's mother. The older girl's family confronted the mother, sprayed mace, threw rocks and tried kicking in the door of the victim's home. The family members will be charged with assault, according to the report.

April 9

11:45 a.m.—Police conducted a traffic stop on the 1900 block of Silver Bell Rd. for a car with no bumper. The officer cited the driver for driving without a bumper. The driver was angry because he felt police stopped him because he is "black and a scapper."
