6:21 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 4500 block of Slater Rd. The caller told police someone had stolen a vehicle after the owner left it running outside for 10 minutes.
8:49 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 800 block of Aldrin Dr. The caller, a business owner, told police someone stole $3,000 worth of scrap metal from dumpsters outside the business.
10:51 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call at a department store on the 1300 block of Town Centre Dr. The caller, an employee, told police two men stole $280 of ties and shirts.
7:53 p.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call on the 3200 block of Coachman Rd. The caller told police a drunk male was beating people up and throwing items around. Police apprehended the man, who attempted to give officers a false name. He was transported to jail.
6:26 p.m.—Police responded to a driving complaint at the intersection of Hwy. 13 and Silver Bell Rd. The caller told police a grey Mazda was swerving all over the road. The Mazda eventually pulled into the parking lot of an apartment complex, and the caller noticed a woman staggering when she got out of the vehicle. Police apprehended the woman, who refused to give a breathalyzer test. She was arrested on suspicion of a third-degree DWI. The woman had a child in the back seat of the vehicle at the time of the incident.
9:30 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 4100 block of Lexington Ave. The caller told police a van with two occupants was parked in the parking lot, and that the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. Police cited the driver of the vehicle for possession of drug paraphernalia.
6:34 p.m.—Police and fire units responded to a fire alarm at a warehouse on the 900 block of Apollo Rd. Firefighters found a pallet of batteries on fire at the warehouse and were able to control the flames, limiting damage to the building.
8:10 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic assault call on the 4200 block of Boulder Ridge Pt. Police learned that an intoxicated man hit the reporting party twice in her face and took her cell phone. Police put out an alert for the man, who could face fifth-degree domestic assault and 911 interference charges.
11 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary call at a tobacco shop on the 3400 block of Pilot Knob Rd. Investigators learned that someone forced open a glass door to gain entry to the business, then stole several cartons of cigarettes.
11:42 p.m.—Police responded to a robbery call at a gas station on the 1300 block of Town Centre Dr. The caller told police that a man entered the station, argued with an employee, then snatched cigars from the business and ran.
7:38 a.m.—Police responded to a traffic accident involving a car and a school bus at the intersection of Federal Dr. and Yankee Doodle Rd. One person was cited in connection to the incident.
5:21 p.m.—Police responded to a traffic stop near the intersection of Interstate 35E and Pilot Knob Rd. The driver was stopped in the center lane of the freeway. Police arrested the man after learning he had taken Percocet and was driving with very little sleep. The man was cited for careless driving.
11:21 a.m.—Police responded to a criminal sexual conduct call on the 4100 block of Kingston Ct. The caller told police she was sexually assaulted the previous Friday at a party.
1:12 a.m.—Police responded to a fight outside a bar and restaurant on the 4600 block of Nicols Rd. The reporting party said three males were involved and that one of them was bleeding from the face. Police investigated and learned that the victim was assaulted by two other men as he was leaving the bar. The assailants were jailed.
2:01 a.m.—Police were involved in a high-speed chase that began near Diamond Dr. and Diffley Rd. The fleeing driver, operating a stolen vehicle, crashed near the intersection of Cedarvale Dr. and Hwy. 13. Two were transported to the hospital with injuries from the accident.
4:40 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 4600 block of Cambridge Dr. The reporting party told police he received a Facebook invite from a 12-year-old who appeared to be partially unclothed.
8:52 p.m.—Police responded to a hit and run accident that took place at the intersection of Diffley Rd. and Lexington Ave. An off-duty Minnesota State Patrol trooper who witnessed the accident followed the suspect's vehicle and eventually arrested the driver and a passenger at gunpoint. The driver was cited for multiple violations and released to a sober driver.
