Blotter: Man Calls Police With Computer Problems, Pig Found in Backyard, Dog Feces on Windshield

Eagan police also responded to a burglary report and a harassment call, according to the most recent Eagan police reports.

7:06 a.m.—Police responded to a personal injury accident near the intersection of Diffley Road and I-35E. The caller told police a teenage boy riding a bike had been hit by a car. The boy had blood coming out of his nose but was breathing normally. The teenager was transported to Regions Hospital.

12:13 a.m.—Police and fire units responded to a car fire call near the intersection of Cliff Road and Lexington Avenue. The caller told police flames were visible under the hood of the car and beneath the front of the vehicle. The engine of the car was fully engulfed when Eagan firefighters arrived. Investigators believe the fire was caused by an electrical failure. The fire was extinguished and the car towed.

9:12 a.m.—Police responded to a damage to property call on the 4300 block of Pintail Ct. The caller told police someone let the air out of the tires of his 17-year-old daughter's car and smeared dog feces on the vehicle's windshield.

11:06 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary on the 3300 block of River Bluff Dr. The property owner told police someone broke into the residence, changed the locks and moved items around. The man was unable to enter the property.

6:34 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic call on the 4300 block of Stirrup St. The caller told police she was upset because her father was trying to shut the garage door on her foot. She believed he was unhappy because she had been drinking.

Nov. 18

5:02 p.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking call on the 900 block of Wescott Square. The reporting party told officers her granddaughter was outside playing with other children and a little boy started throwing rocks at her. The grandmother said her granddaughter hit the boy because he was throwing rocks, at which point the boy told the girl he was going to get a gun.

Nov. 19

12:51 p.m.—Police responded to an animal call on the 2100 block of Cliffhill Ln. The caller told police there was a large farm pig in the neighbor's back yard. The officer visited the house, and a resident told police the pig belongs to his brother, who will be picking it up soon. The officer cited the man for keeping a farm animal in a residential area.

Nov. 20

11:47 a.m.—Police responded to a harassment call at Wescott Library in Eagan. The caller told police that every time he logged onto a public computer "things are different" and the font on the computer changes. He told police he thinks he knows which family is behind the mischief.

7:26 p.m.—Police responded to a harassing communications call on the 3500 block of Birchpond Rd. The caller told police his neighbor, who recently pleaded guilty to felony harassment, had set up a flood light on his deck and was shining it into the victim's backyard. Police spoke to the suspect, who claimed he was merely moving things around on his deck and left a flashlight outside.

Nov. 21

7:14 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call at the Big Lots along Town Centre Drive in Eagan. The caller told police a customer was inhaling dustoff. The man, who had soiled himself, was later found in between two nearby stores.
