Blotter: Massage Parlor Hostage, Pajama-Clad Night Visitor and a $10,000 Ruby Ring

Police also responded to a burglary call, a school bus fight that escalated and a house fire, according to the most recent police reports.

Sept. 15

11:37 a.m.—Police responded to a driving complaint at the intersection of Cliff Road and Johnny Cake Ridge Road. The caller told police that a white coach bus was weaving, speeding, running red lights and had no functioning brake lights. The caller followed the bus for some distance, and watched the driver pick up passengers at the Holiday Inn in Eagan. Police cited the bus driver for eight violations.

2:33 p.m.—Police responded to a theft call at the Walmart at 1360 Town Centre Dr. The caller told police that .

Sept. 16

12:01 a.m.—Police responded to an assault call on the 3900 block of Thames Ave. The caller told police that his 16-year-old son was at home earlier that night with friends when a group of males came into the home and assaulted the boy.

6:22 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 3800 block of Pilot Knob Rd. The caller told police that his girlfriend was being held against her will and that the suspect owns a massage parlor that may also double as a front for prostitution. The caller believed his girlfriend had been there for several days.

Sept. 17

1:31 a.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 700 block of Hay Lake Rd. The reporting party told police that an elderly stranger wearing pajamas was ringing the doorbell. Police caught up to the doorbell ringer, who told officers that he has no idea where he is or how he got to Eagan. The man told officers that he believes he is from Manchester, Iowa. The man was eventually reunited with his wife.

1:35 a.m.—Police responded to a domestic call at the Hilton Garden Inn at 1975 Rahncliff Ct. The caller told police that an older man slapped a younger woman wearing a min-skirt. When interviewed by police, the man admitted to officers that he paid $200 to a private dancer expecting oral sex. Upon this request, the dancer left, at which point the man admitted slapping her.

6:08 a.m.—Police officers and firefighters responded to a house fire at a vacant house on the 3500 block of Widgeon Way in Eagan. The officer who was first on the scene reported that windows on the backside of the house were venting flames and that a fire was visible in the living room. The fire was extinguished at 6:35 a.m.

11:16 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 3900 block of Westbury Way in Eagan. The reporting party woke up and found her home burglarized. The garage door was left open the previous night, and there was no sign of forced entry. The burglar took two 40-inch TVs, a ruby ring worth $10,000 and a desktop computer.

9:01 p.m.—Police responded to an assault call on the 1300 block of Jurdy Rd.

Sept. 18

12:20 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 4000 block of Diamond Pt. The caller told police that she wanted to speak to a female officer about a possible sexual predator incident that occurred overnight.

3:52 p.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call on the 3200 block of Valley Ridge Dr. The reporting party told police that two children had a confrontation on a school bus, and that the caller went to her neighbors house to discuss the issue. The neighbor responded by trying to kick in the caller's front door. Both parents also got into a verbal confrontation.

7 p.m.—Police responded to a weapons call on the 4500 block of Slater Rd. A caller told police that a group of kids was playing in the street, and that the caller saw one of the teenagers pull out a black handgun, point it and start laughing, then put it back in his pants. Upon investigating, police discovered that the gun was an airsoft gun.

9:39 p.m.—Police responded to a damage to property call on the 4200 block of Amber Dr. The caller told officers that someone had vandalized the political signs in her front yard for the third time in 10 days.
