Blotter: Satanic Symbols Spray Painted on Garage Door

Domestics, an injured animal call and thefts were also recorded in the Eagan police reports for Jan. 11-16

Jan. 11

6:01 a.m.—Police responded to an injured animal call on the 3700 block of Robin Lane. The caller told police that a small dog was badly injured and was laying in the roadway. Police could not locate the owner of the dog, a chihuahua, and brought the animal to a veterinary clinic in Apple Valley, where it was eventually euthanized as a result of the extent of its injuries.

8:46 a.m.—Police responded to a theft report on the 3600 block of Dodd Rd. A caller told officials that someone broke into a work van for Champion Plumbing during the night and took tools and copper from the vehicle.

12:42 p.m.—Police responded to an incident involving an intoxicated 17-year-old teen on the 3200 block of Valley Ridge Dr. A caller told police that the teen was threatening to hit his mother.

Jan. 15

9:55 a.m.—Police responded to a vandalism report on the 4200 block of Trenton Rd. The caller reported threatening graffiti on the garage door of his or her home. The graffiti consisted of Satanic symbols.

10:43 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic all on the 1300 block of Balsam St. E. A woman told a dispatcher that her husband had lunged at her with a knife while four children were in the house and tried to rip the phone out of the wall when he learned she was calling police. Police arrested the man.
