Blotter: Woman Tells Police "Public Figure" is Poisoning Her

Police also responded to a suspected heroin overdose and a number of mental health calls, according to the police reports for April 10-16.

April 10

2:36 p.m.—Eagan police responded to a domestic call on the 2800 block of Lexington Ave. The reporting party told police a 16-year-old girl was physically assaulted by her mother, who grabbed the girl's hair and punched her in the head before kicking the girl out of the house.

7:23 p.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call on the 4500 block of Villa Parkway. The reporting party told police that she just found out her teenage daughter had been soliciting older men for sex on Craig's List.

8:13 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call at Rahn Elementary School in Eagan. The school principal and custodians caught three children trespassing on the roof of the school. Over the previous weekend, trespassers broke skylights installed in the roof of the school.

April 11

9:22 a.m.—Eagan firefighters responded to a report of a garage fire on the 900 block of Wescott Trail. Emergency responders determined the fire started after the homeowner put ashes from a wood fire in a trash container.

6:38 p.m.—Eagan police responded to a theft report on the 3800 block of Willow Way. The reporting party told police someone stole two large plants, including a tree, from a home patio.

April 12

1:04 p.m.—A woman turned up in the lobby of the Eagan Police Department to claim that a person who is a public figure may have poisoned her last summer. Upon questioning, the woman claimed she was being poisoned and had been implanted with something by a man she hasn't seen in years. She also told police she was driving around with a gun in her car, and then presented her permit to carry. Police confiscated the gun, and the woman voluntarily agreed to be transported to United Hospital.

5:36 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 1500 block of Covington Lane. The reporting party told police that someone ransacked his or her home. Several TVs, computers, some jewelry and a safe with $1,500 in cash was taken from the residence, along with a car.
 

April 13

10:37 a.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking report on the 3500 block of Federal Dr. The reporting party told officers her husband had recently passed away and that her stepson was leaving threatening texts and phone calls claiming that she was holding onto property he should receive from his father. The woman requested an extra patrol because the stepson had previously burglarized her residence and had pawned some of her belongings.

5:57 p.m.—Police responded to a suspected heroin overdose on the 4200 block of Trenton Rd. The reporting party told officers a teenage male was unconscious and pale. Police collected suspected heroin, a syringe, spoon and cotton from the scene. The male was transported to Regions Hospital.

April 14

2:01 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 4500 block of Cinnamon Ridge Trail. A reporting party told police a man named "Poncho" stole two bottles of alcohol from her apartment.

9:50 a.m.—Police responded to a harassment call on the 1800 block of Trailway Drive. The reporting party told police that his neighbors were yelling at him through the walls of his apartment. The man also told police he believes his neighbors installed a camera in his apartment and were taking pictures of him while he was doing pushups.

3:05 p.m.—Police responded to a report of drug activity on the 1400 block of Rocky Lane. The reporting party caught his or her teenage son in the garage with marijuana. The boy ran away, but was returned to his parents by police.

4:30 p.m.—Police responded to a mental health call on the 1300 block of Town Centre Drive. The reporting party, calling from a parking lot, told police he believes the people who live below him had bugged his apartment and vehicle with cameras and were harassing him and his brother.

April 16

10:51 a.m.— Police responded to a burglary on the 1100 block of Town Centre Drive. The reporting party told police that someone popped a window screen off, entered a classroom, took several balls from the classroom and threw them around. Nothing appeared to be missing.
