A dispute at a Burnsville bar took an unexpected turn when a 52-year-old Eagan man allegedly pulled a gun on another victim, pushed it under his chin and pointed it at the victim's chest.

Hamzeh Daghighian faces one felony count of second-degree assault and one felony count of terroristic threats following the incident. If convicted on the assault charge, Daghighian could face a maximum of seven years in prison and $14,000 in fines.

Police were called to the bar on Nov. 24, on a report that one man had pushed a gun into another man's face in the business' parking lot.

Officers spoke with the victim, who said he became upset when an older bar patron repeatedly grabbed a female friend's buttocks. The victim asked the offender is he would like to "step outside", according to a criminal complaint filed by the Dakota County Attorney's Office.

Once out in the parking lot, however, police say the older patron, Daghighian, walked to his SUV and came back with a handgun. The victim told police Daghighian held the weapon against his chin and chest. When the victim told Daghighian he would call police, Daghighian allegedly left the establishment.

An officer located a vehicle matching the victim's description later that evening, the complaint said. The victim then identified Daghighian in a photo line-up. Police later arrested Daghighian at his home in Eagan.

Hey Gino~ A description of the gun wasn't given in the criminal complaint filed by the Dakota County Attorney's Office. All we know is that it was a handgun. The SUV was described as a white vehicle with union decals on the back. I'm familiar with the I-35E shooting (having written about it previously: http://patch.com/A-zcpH). Email me at david.henke@patch.com if you're interested in chatting about the incident.

Curious what the name of "said" establishment is and why bouncers or employees did not intervene before the situation escalated, considering this was all taking place inside the bar. Sounds like a classy place!

Hey Steven~ The establishment wasn't named in the criminal complaint, nor was an address for the business given.
