Driver Cited for Bad Tabs Has Fake Gun, Fake ID: Eagan Police Blotter

Jan. 8

11:56 a.m. - A resident at an apartment on the 3400 block of Golfview Drive punched the manager of the building. The two were arguing over a pizza box, according to the report, and police officers advised the parties that they could have handled the situation better.

Jan. 10

3:34 p.m. - An attempted vehicle break-in was reported at Walmart. Someone had punched a hole under the passenger door key, but nothing was stolen. The incident occurred on Jan. 8.

3:45 p.m. - Someone stole items from a vehicle including a parking permit. The vehicle was then towed.

Jan. 11

10:44 a.m. - A woman on the 4200 block of Dartmouth Court reported finding footprints around her house and on her deck.

4:24 p.m. - Police received a report of a possible drug deal on the corner of Lone Oak Road and Pilot Knob Road. Police arrived and cited a group with drug use and the driver of a vehicle was also cited for expired tabs. The group said that they might have looked suspicious, but they were only exchanging a cell phone. All the stories were the same and they were all released.

11:35 p.m. - Police arrested a woman at Highway 13 and Yankee Doodle Road for driving under the influence. She had struck several vehicles in a parking lot with her vehicle and drove away.

Jan. 12

11:38 a.m. - Snowboarding and music equipment were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1800 block of Walnut Lane.

1:16 p.m. - Hunting and fishing gear were stolen from a garage on the 3300 block of Yankee Doodle Lane.

4:20 p.m. - A trailer was stolen from the parking lot on the 1300 block of High Site Drive.

Jan. 13

12:16 a.m. - A driver was cited on the 2000 block of Diffley Road. The vehicle did not have a front license plate and the tabs were taken from a vehicle in Burnsville or Bloomington. The driver also had a fake ID, fake security guard badge and a fake gun that shot blanks.

9:52 a.m. - A credit card was stolen from the 3200 block of Valley Ridge Road.
