Drunk Driver Arrested After Allegedly Falling Asleep With Vehicle in Gear

The woman was charged with a third-degree DWI, according to the latest Eagan police reports.

Police arrested an adult woman on March 7 for a third-degree DWI after officers found her sleeping in the driver's seat of her car on the off-ramp from Interstate 35E to Pilot Knob Road. The vehicle was still in drive when police found the woman, according to police reports.

1:08 p.m.—Police responded to a theft report at a business on the 1235 block of Town Centre Dr. Officers learned that two male shoplifters had stolen two Xbox 360s along with other accessories.

6:48 p.m.—Police responded to a criminal sexual conduct call on the 3800 block of Pilot Knob Rd.

8:30 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic on the 3200 block of Hill Ridge Dr. The caller told police her boyfriend had shoved her and dragged her across the floor by her hair. When police arrived, the man threw punches at the officers and inflicted minor injuries on an officer. The man was arrested pending assault charges.

11:07 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 1700 block of Woodgate Ln. The caller told police three men just tried to break into her car. The suspects fled on foot.

March 2

7:07 p.m.—Police respondd to a medical call on the 2000 block of Copper Ln. Police liearned a 21-year-old female had fainted and was gasping for air following a heroin overdose. The woman was transported to Regions Hospital.

March 3

1:23 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call at a gas station on the 1300 block of Town Centre Dr. The caller, a clerk, told police a man left approximately $3,000 worth of stolen electronic merchandise at the gas station. After the man left the store, the clerk confiscated the merchandise and called police. 

1:37 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary on the 500 block of Atlantic Hills Dr. The caller told police she had just returned from vacation to find numerous items missing from her home, including two flat screen TVs and a laptop computer.

March 4

12:44 a.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking call on the 1500 block of Thomas Lake Pointe Rd. The caller told police she received threatening texts from her brother, who told her he would kill her and her son.

10:23 a.m.—Police responded to a theft call on the 3100 block of Dodd Rd. The caller told police someone drilled holes in a vehicle's gas tank and drained the gas.

March 5

2:35 p.m.—Police responded to a criminal sexual conduct call on the 3200 block of Coachman Rd.

3:49 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic on the 4500 block of Cinnamon Ridge Trl. The caller told officers her 17-year-old brother was hitting everyone and trying to take their money. The fight, which involved five family members, started over an argument about who was going to shovel.

March 6

8:50 a.m.—Police responded to a weapons call at Blackhawk Middle School. A person was jailed for bringing a BB gun to school.

10:53 a.m.—Police responded to a damage to property call. The caller told police her ex-boyfriend had recently moved out. But when he left, he allegedly knocked holes the walls, broke a picture frame and poured gravel into the garbage disposal.

12:39 p.m.—Police responded to an assault call on the 900 block of Wescott Trl.

6:58 p.m.—Police responded to reports of drug activity on the 3900 block of Valley View Dr.

March 7

1:22 a.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call at the corner of Diffley Road and Pilot Knob Road. Officers stopped a man at the intersection after he had left a local hotel. The man allegedly admitted he'd paid for sex with a female prostitute at the hotel. Police were unable to locate the prostitute, and contacted the hotel management.
