Eagan Apartment Fire Injures One, Displaces 20 Residents
The blaze, which started early Thursday morning, damaged several residences at the Cinnamon Ridge apartment complex in Eagan. It took firefighters from three cities roughly two hours to contain the fire.

At 03:24 hours this morning, Eagan Police and Fire were dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 4565 Slater Road at the Cinnamon Ridge Apartments.
Arriving crews reported fire on all three floors of the apartment building. A total of 24 apartments were evacuated. The fire was marked under control at 03:46 hours and the last units cleared the scene at 06:00am.
The fire was mostly contained to the exteriors of three apartments. One apartment on the second floor had minor fire damage on the interior. Several apartments received heavy smoke and water damage. A total of six apartments with approximately 20 residents are displaced due to this fire. The Salvation Army was on scene to assist the displaced residents.
One resident received minor burns while trying to extinguish the fire. He was treated on scene. There were no other injuries. The Eagan Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire that appears to have started on the balcony of one of the apartments.
Crews from all of Eagan’s five fire stations responded along with one fire engine from Burnsville and one from Apple Valley.
