Eagan Council Lifts City-Wide Burning Ban

The ban was put into place on Oct. 16 as the result of dry conditions across the city and county.

A burn ban put into place on Oct. 16 because of extremely dry conditions has finally been lifted, according to Eagan Fire Chief Mike Scott.

At the Eagan City Council meeting Wednesday night, the council officially lifted the ban, which had prohibited all recreational fires citywide.

Even though the ban is lifted, Scott asked Eagan residents to use extreme caution if they have a recreational fire. City regulations still forbid residents from burning yard waste in Eagan.
