Eagan Issues Crime Alert on Home Burglaries

Eagan police are asking residents for help in identifying the people or vehicles connected to the burglaries, which occurred in November and December.

The Eagan Police Department issued a crime alert on Thursday regarding home burglaries that occurred between Nov. 27 and Dec. 17.

Three burglaries occurred during that time. In each case the residents were out of town. The burglar (or burglars) generally gained entry into the homes by "forcing open the front door, or entering through unsecured doors and windows," according to the alert. Items stolen from the homes include a snow blower, money and jewelry.

At this time the police do not have any suspects and do not know if the burglaries are related. Police are requesting the public's assistance any identifying people or vehicles connected to the burglaries.

The burglaries occurred in the following areas, according to the alert:

  • 3600 block of Wescott Hills Drive
  • 3600 block Woodland Trail
  • 3600 block of Sunwood Trail

If you have any information on the burglaries, call the 24-hour police department tip line at 651-675-5799. Call 911 if you see suspicious people or vehicles in the area.
