Sept. 26
-A caller in the 2100 block of Garnet Drive reported that someone smashed a car window overnight, and said it was the second time within two weeks that a window on the car had been broken while it was parked on the street.

-Police responded to an altercation at McDonald’s in the 3000 block of Holiday Lane. A customer was yelling in the store, demanding a refund for his food because he said he didn’t get what he wanted; the manager said he thought the customer had thrown away the food. Police straightened out the conflict, and the customer got his money back.
-A caller in the 2100 block of Cool Stream Circle reported that someone shot out a large picture window with a BB gun – the third such incident within a few months.

-A caller in the 900 block of Trail Court reported that someone was using his debit card in Chicago and Wisconsin and had charged $1,448 on it.
-A caller in the 4700 block of Oak Cliff Drive reported that someone had smashed the back window of a car, and left a broom handle inside the vehicle.
-A caller in the 2200 block of Water Lilly Lane reported a car window smashed out.
-A caller in the 1500 block of Violet Lane reported that someone stole a “really expensive” hose nozzle. The caller also told police that a man who works for her lawn service told her that he had a cut on his leg and asked if she wanted to see the wound, then began unbuttoning his pants until she told him to stop.
-An employee of Logistics Services Inc. in the 900 block of Apollo Road reported that an owner-operator hasn’t returned a trailer to the company. Police advised him that it was a civil matter.
-A caller in the 3500 block of Lexington Avenue reported finding graffiti inside a climbing wall at the playground in O’Leary Park.
-A caller in the 1100 block of Aquarius Lane reported that a car window was broken out.
-A caller in the 4100 block of States Avenue reported that a friend had been visiting over the weekend, and the family subsequently noticed an iPod and some DVDs missing. An investigation showed that the suspect had pawned some DVDs.
-A caller in the 4100 block of Oakbrooke Trail reported that her mailbox had been vandalized, along with several others in the same block.
-A caller in the 1600 block of Mallard Drive reported that her sister had been gone with her mother’s car for about a week, and she believed that there was an outstanding warrant on her. The woman had been sending suicidal text messages to her brother and boyfriend. Police issued an alert.
-A caller in the 4600 block of Penkwe Way reported that her 15-year-old son had picked up a table and smashed it. Police arranged for him to stay with his father.
-Police stopped a vehicle at Wescott Woodlands and Yankee Doodle Road and cited the driver for having no driver’s license.
Sept. 27
-A caller in the 1800 block of Bear Path Trail reported that someone had taken an MP3 player from a car.
-Police stopped a vehicle at Pilot Knob Road and Sigfrid Street East and cited the driver for DWI.
-A caller in the 3900 block of Cedar Grove Parkway reported that someone smashed a vehicle window overnight.
-Police stopped a vehicle at Cliff Road and Slater Road and cited the driver for failure to yield and driving without a driver’s license.
-The Holiday station in the 3600 block of Pilot Knob Road reported a $49.96 gasoline drive-off.
-A caller in the 4600 block of Wildwood Street reported that someone broke the rear window of a friend’s car.
-A caller in the 800 block of Great Oaks Trail reported that someone stole a set of Calloway golf clubs and a golf bag from his garage.
-A caller in the 1700 block of Hickory Hill Drive reported that someone kicked his garage door and left a dent and a shoeprint, and said he suspected his neighbor. Police spoke to the neighbor, who said she had “spinal issues” and wouldn’t be able to “kick that hard.”
-A caller in the 4400 block of Oak Chase Way reported that someone stole a $7 book from his mailbox.
-An employee of Cedar Grove Liquors in the 1900 block of Silver Bell Road reported that three blank corporate checks were stolen, forged and passed, two of them made out to a former employee. Two additional electronic transfers were made from the store’s account to the ex-employee’s husband, who works for a local bank. The employee estimated the loss at about $2,000.
-A caller in the 3600 block of Windtree Court reported that her 23-year-old pregnant daughter was “out of control,” but the argument was verbal only.
-An employee at A&H Cartage in the 3200 block of Mike Collins Drive reported that a vulnerable adult who works at the business was being physically and verbally abused by other employees, and had mentioned bringing a gun to work. Detectives were notified.
-A caller in the 4500 block of Villa Drive reported an 8-year-old child with cerebral palsy being allowed to “roam around the neighborhood without proper supervision.” Police sent a report to child protection authorities.
Sept. 28
-A caller in the 1600 block of Mallard Drive asked police to check on her son because she had come home earlier and found a noose made from an electrical cord, hanging in the garage, and she didn’t know where he was. Police found the man and arranged for him to be transported to a hospital.
