Sept. 5

-An employee of Davanni’s in the 1900 block of Cliff Lake Road reported that a man had been loitering outside the restaurant for several days. The man’s family reported that he has “mental issues” and that he ran out of medication, and that he didn’t eat or sleep “when he is like this.” Police picked up the man.

-An employee of Super America in the 1300 block of Town Centre Drive reported that a man had attempted to rob the store by lunging at him while he had the cash register drawer open. When the employee grabbed his hand, the man dropped the money he had grabbed and fled the store. A customer who witnessed the attempted robbery told police that he put the suspect in a choke hold and squeezed until he dropped the money.

-An employee of Lost Spur Golf Course in the 2700 block of Highway 13 reported that someone broke a lock to get into the “driving range room” and kicked in a door on the driving range garage. It was unclear whether anything was stolen.

-A caller in the 1000 block of McKee Street reported a domestic dispute in which a couple were arguing over child custody.

-A caller reported that someone stole a wallet in St. Paul and had subsequently used the victim’s credit cards to make purchases of $85.44 and $534.55 at Walmart in the 1300 block of Town Centre Drive.

-A caller in the 3300 block of Rolling Hills Drive reported that a bicycle was stolen from a bench adjacent to a front porch.

-A caller in the 1300 block of Easter Lane reported that two men were shooting BB guns at her house.

-A caller in the 4500 block of Villa Drive reported that a neighbor had threatened to shoot her. Police determined that the woman, who had a thick accent, had actually threatened to sue the caller, not shoot her.

-A caller in the 900 block of Wescott Trail reported a domestic dispute between a husband and wife. The man left the home for the night.

-A caller in the 3300 block of Coachman Road reported that two armed men had broken into his home and told him and a friend to get on the ground and give them money. One of the men shot a .22-caliber pistol into the ceiling and stole marijuana before both men fled on bicycles.
