Eagan Police Blotter: Sept. 7-8

Sept. 7

-A caller in the 1700 block of Davenport Avenue reported the theft of two tires from a vehicle.

-A caller at Lexington Avenue and Yankee Doodle Road reported that someone broke into a truck belonging to Lennar Construction.

-An employee of Rainbow Foods in the 1200 block of Town Centre Drive reported that a shoplifter had left the store with a cartload of unpaid merchandise totaling $67.27, and had driven away.

-An employee of Dart Transit reported the theft of a tractor and trailer, both of which were to have been returned four days earlier. The employee said the tractor’s GPS wasn’t activated.

-Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1200 block of Promenade Place and cited a 47-year-old woman for improper lane use.

-An employee of the Holiday station in the 1500 block of Cliff Road reported a gasoline drive-off. Police learned that the recorded license plate had been stolen.

-Police responded to a fire in the 4200 block of Meghan Lane. The fire originated in the oven. There were no injuries.

-Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of Golden Meadow Road. A caller reported hearing two males yelling at one another. A man told police that he had been arguing with his 15-year-old son and admitted taking the phone from his son, knowing that he was trying to call police, but said he didn’t think the police were needed.

-Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at Interstate 35E and Pilot Knob Road. One driver was cited for failure to yield.

-A caller from Northview Elementary School in the 900 block of Diffley Road reported that someone stole two lacrosse nets, valued at $600.

-The Holiday station in the 3600 block of Pilot Knob Road reported a $53 gasoline drive-off. Police were unable to identify a suspect based on the license plate number.

-A caller in the 4500 block of Slater Road reported a female on the property who wasn’t allowed to be there. Police cited the woman for trespassing and dropped her off at the Mall of America.

-A caller in the 4500 block of Villa Parkway reported that she was receiving harassing phone calls. Police told her that any further phone calls would be considered harassment.

Sept. 8

-Police made a traffic stop at Interstate 494 and Pilot Knob Road and arrested a 54-year-old man on an outstanding warrant.
