Historic Town Hall in Flames

On Sept. 8, an Eagan police officer discovered the Town Hall "engulfed in flames" while he was on patrol, according the news release. Patch reported that 40 Eagan firefighters from four stations responded to the scene.

Although a majority of the building was saved, it suffered extensive damage. Some items of historical value were also lost, including a display on the fire department and items from Eagan's past elections.

The city does not yet know if the Town Hall will be restored, said city communications coordinator Joanna Foote.
