Judge Issues Eight Warrants After Eagan Woman Blows Off Court Appearance

Alexa Maria Leitchman, 27, was scheduled to appear in Dakota County court at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning—by 10:30 she still hadn't shown.

Dakota County District Court Judge Arlene M. Asencio Perkkio issued arrest warrants for eight separate charges after an Eagan woman failed to appear in court Tuesday morning.

Alexa Maria Leitchman, 27, was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning but after she had not checked in with the clerk 90 minutes after her scheduled time, Judge Perkkio issued the warrants.

Perkkio dispatched the court deputy to find out if Leitchman was, by chance, incarcerated on any of her outstanding charges.

Upon returning to the courtroom, the balif reported Leitchman was not incarcerated but was wanted on a ninth warrant in Scott county.  

All told, Leitchman is facing warrants on the following offenses:

A closer look at Leitchman's criminal history reveals individual warrants for each of the offenses after she failed to appear to at least one of the court-ordered hearings.

After reading through Leitchman's file in open court, Judge Perkkio told the attorneys present the woman has "serious accountability issues."
