Is Thomas Pawlenty related to former Governor Tim Pawlenty? I think their family is from South St. Paul.

I had the same thought when writing the article, Reece, and will post an update if I can get a confirmation on that.

It is my understanding that he had 2 children both girls Anna and Mara. I checked with Wikipedia and it confirms what I have stated. He did grown up in S.St. Paul so I am assuming that this would be one of his nephews.

The main point of this article is about a women who died in this accident, not about whether or not someone who was not injured is related to Tim Pawlenty. Have some compassion people!
