Police Allegedly Find 21 Marijuana Pipes in Man's Truck in Apple Valley

Adam Michael Godes is charged with a controlled substance crime, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

An Eagan man is facing drug charges after police say they allegedly found him under the influence outside an Apple Valley store, and then found marijuana and 21 glass pipes in his truck.

Adam Michael Godes, 30, is charged with a felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime, misdemeanor possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the criminal complaint, were called to the store on a report that a man had entered the store smelling like marijuana, after sitting in his truck for about 10 minutes.

Officers found the man, identified as Godes, outside the store and allegedly confirmed that the truck in question was his, the complaint says.

The complaint says Godes had difficulty following an officer's finger with his eyes and multitasking during a field test. It also says his eyes allegedly were bloodshot and he was sweating "profusely."

An officer allegedly saw a type of glass pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana in plain view inside the truck, and also smelled marijuana odor emanating from the truck, the complaint says.

Upon searching the truck, officers allegedly found 21 glass pipes, a sandwich bag full of what tested as 47.59 grams of marijuana, a scale, a grinder and seeds.

Godes allegedly told officers that he likes to smoke marijuana a lot, and does so to calm himself down.
