Police Blotter: DWI Charges, Thefts from Cars

Several thefts from cars are among items on the Dec. 29-Jan. 2 police blotter.

Three alleged intoxicated females were arguing about getting a sober driver after driving to a Holiday Store on the 4500 block of Nichols Road Dec. 30. One of the females was charged with a fourth degree DWI and had a .20 blood alcohol level. She was transported to Dakota County Jail.

An on-site contractor located at a home remodel discovered the house had been vandalized Dec. 29 on the 1600 block of Walnut Lane. The windows in the front door has been pried apart. However, no entry was made and there were no witnesses. 

A car was broken into in an underground garage on the 3400 block of Golfview Drive Dec. 30. An Ipod and business papers were taken and there are no suspects.

A vehicle's windows were smashed in an underground garage on the 1300 block of High Site Drive Dec. 30. Nothing was taken from the car.

A van was broken into on the 3200 block of Valley Ridge Drive on Dec. 30. Nothing was taken from the van.

A passenger side window was broken on the 3000 block of Eagandale Place Dec. 30. A JVC stereo was taken.

A car was broken into in an underground garage on the 1300 block of High Site Drive Dec. 30. A Garmin GPS was taken.

Three vehicles parked in front of a store in Promenade Place had a tire slashed on each of them Dec. 30. All people were in the store while it happened, and there are no suspects.

A male suspect at a hotel on the 3400 block of Washington Drive Dec. 31 was harassing front desk employees, suggesting he had a gun but made no threats to use it. The hotel wanted police to be present when they asked the suspect to leave.

A guest allegedly grabbed a front desk clerk at a hotel on the 4600 block of Rahncliff Road Jan. 1. The clerk said about six to seven people were inside the hotel room and drinking was involved. Three people were cited for minor consumption.

A vehicle was stolen from a bar on the 3300 block of Highway 13 Jan. 1. The truck was there when the owners left earlier in the morning, and when they came back, it was gone.

A vehicle was pulled over on Jan. 2 for having one its headlights out. The driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana. The front seat passenger was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.

A house was broken into Jan. 2 on the 700 block of Caribou Lane. The suspect broke a lower level window and stole tequila, money, jewelry and DVD players.
