Police Blotter: Shoplifting, Underage Drinking and Thefts From Cars

The Eagan Police Department's crime report for March 10-14.

A fight allegedly took place between two students at John Metcalf Junior High School March 10.

A break-in at a residence allegedly occurred sometime in January on the 4500 block of Canterbury Circle when a resident was out of town and left the garage door open. The resident just realized things were missing out his garage. 

A person who is a witness to a case in Hennepin County was allegedly receiving terroristic threats via phone March 10.

Somebody has been dumping trash in front of a homeowner's garage on the 3800 block of Lodestone Lane. The homeowner is allegedly new to the neighborhood, and the act may not be random.

An adult female was allegedly in custody for shoplifting at Walmart. The suspect had eight prior shoplifting arrests and was jailed March 10.

A female believes she could be the victim of identity theft. She allegedly received a letter in the mail saying that a savings bond was cashed in her name. The female apparently never had a bond and is concerned someone used her name or social security number to purchase one.

A large party that involved drinking allegedly took place at a residence on the 500 block of Atlantic Hills Drive March 10. About 40 juveniles were reported at the residence and back-up was requested. Some sited for underage consumption.

An unlocked vehicle was entered at a residence overnight on the 4300 block of Bear Path Trail March 11. Items were tossed around in the vehicle, however, nothing was allegedly taken.

A 1993 Blue Ford Topaz was allegedly missing from a driveway on the 4300 block of Bear Path Trail March 11. The keys may have been left in the car and were also missing.

An iPod Touch was allegedly stolen out of an unlocked vehicle on the 3900 block of Clippers Road March 11.

A male allegedly presented a counterfeit driver's license at Now Care Medical Center March 11 for drug testing. The male was booked and released from jailed; he was charged with a misdemeanor possession of a counterfeit license.

A person called police to say a mom was beating up her 25-year-old daughter on the 1900 block of Timber Wolf Trail South March 11. The mom and daughter were allegedly both hitting each other and had been drinking. One female was sent to detox and the other was sent to jail.

A theft from a vehicle occurred overnight on the 4700 block of Beacon Hill Road March 12. The car was left unlocked in a driveway and only spare change was taken.

An unknown person allegedly got access to a female's computer and had been allegedly posing as them online. The woman suspects an Apple employee. The suspect suffers from mental health issues and allegedly claimed people were trying to hack into her computer. During the investigation, everything seemed normal, however, the woman did not want to hear that and kicked the officer out.

A mailbox was found broken and lying in the street with no mail in it on the 1600 block of Sherwood Way March 12. The mailbox was allegedly damaged with some sort of blunt object. According to police, there have been a high amount of juvenile activity in the area the last two nights. The homeowner did not appear to be missing any mail.
