Police Blotter: Staple Gun Skirmish on Lone Oak Circle

A dispute between two coworkers took a turn for the worse after one of them fired a volley of staples at the other.

The Eagan Police Department was called to the scene of a staple gun shooting on Sept. 6.

Around 2:47 p.m. an employee called to report a workplace assault at a business on the 2900 block of Lone Oak Circle. The man said a co-worker shot him eight to 10 times with a staple gun. There were no open wounds or marks, but the man was unhappy with his employer, who allegedly told him to work somewhere else "if he didn't think this was a safe workplace." The manager told police that the offending co-worker shot the staple gun at the ground, not at the reporting party.
