Rochester Man Killed During Sunday Rollover on Interstate 494 in Eagan

A 66-year-old Rochester man was killed on Sunday when the vehicle he was driving rolled on Interstate 494 in Eagan.

Harry J. Long III, 66, was one of two occupants in the 2000 GMC Jimmy when the accident occurred.His wife, 67-year-old Louise Long, sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report. Police say the vehicle was traveling eastbound on the interstate when it rolled just east of Pilot Knob Road in Eagan. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Eagan and Mendota Heights police responded to the accident, which occurred just before 2:30 p.m. Conditions on the interstate were dry and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to state patrol officials. Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to the accident report.

Louise Long was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
