Winter Storm Warning Issued for Eagan, Southern Minnesota

With snow starting late Saturday, as much as 11 inches could fall.

The weather this past week may have gotten people excited for spring, but it's not here yet.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning for Eagan and south central Minnesota from late tonight and intensifying into Sunday night.

According to the NWS, "The southern sections of the Twin Cities could pick up near a foot of snow."

Gusts could reach 26 mph, the NWS reports.

Light snow with blowing and drifting snow could continue in Monday morning, the National Weather Service said.
