Capitol Review: Bill that Educates Parents of Minors Experiencing Marriage Dissolution

Rep. Diane Anderson (R-District 38A) proposed a bill that would require parents of minors going through legal separation or marriage dissolution to participate in a related education program.

  • Authored a bill (SF0896) "permitting counties to perform private audit meeting standards of state auditor"; a bill (SF0932) "requiring that certain services be provided through a joint legislative office"; a bill (SF0933) "proposing the Back Office Consolidation Act, centralizing accounting, financial reporting, procurement, fleet services, human resources, and payroll functions in the Department of Administration, and proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes." He also authored a bill (SF0997) "relating to human services... requiring the commissioner of administration to develop requests for proposals to select vendors to operate certain Minnesota state-operated community services programs"; and a bill (SF1039) "relating to investment securities... gradually adjusting certain revenue-based filing fees beginning in fiscal year 2014."

  • Authored a bill (HF1215) to "modify certain children's mental health provisions regarding juvenile treatment screening", and a bill (HF1135) "requiring participation in a marriage dissolution education program in marriage dissolution or legal separation proceedings involving minor children; and proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes" (the bill would be effective Jan. 1, 2012.)

  • Authored a bill (HF1274) "relating to business organizations, regulating the organization and operation of limited liability companies, enacting a revised uniform limited liability company act; providing conforming changes"; also authored a bill (HF1271) "relating to taxation... clarifying research and development base percentage"; and a bill (HF1220)"relating to legislative enactments, including correcting erroneous, ambiguous, and omitted text and obsolete references, removing redundant, conflicting, and superseded provisions, and making miscellaneous corrections to laws, statutes, and rules."
