Changes Coming to Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan

Dakota County is holding an open house on Tuesday to allow residents to ask questions and provide feedback on the project.

Lebanon Hills Regional Park is Dakota County's largest and most visited park, according to the county.

To direct the management of the park's resources and recreation development, the Dakota County is updating its master plan for the park. The plan is currently open to comment until Jan. 18, and the county is holding an open house on Tuesday, Jan. 14 to discuss the plan, take comments and answer questions.

Some of the proposed changes to the park include increasing picnic facilities, adding trails for all-season use, and improving facilities. There are also restoration activities included in the draft master plan.

The open house is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Western Service Center, located at 14955 Galaxie Avenue in Apple Valley.

Find the draft master plan on the Dakota County Parks website. To submit comments on the plan, email planning@co.dakota.mn.us or fill out a comment card at the Lebanon Hills Visitor Center, located at 860 Cliff Road in Eagan.
