The Eagan City Council will convene at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night at City Hall to hold a regular meeting. Here's a preview of a selection of agenda items the council is expected to discuss. For a full agenda, click here.

  • The Eagan City Council is expected to vote whether to approve a series of variance requests for Midas Resources on 3015 Sibley Memorial Highway in Eagan. The variances include a reduction in the required greenspace on the property, a reduction in the number of parking stalls and zero side yard setback for an existing satellite dish. The business been working to bring the property into compliance with city regulations, but has requested the variances to address issues where practical difficulties make full compliance difficult to reach.
  • Two local residents have made donations in the memory of retired firefighter Dave Feterl, who recently passed away. The council is expected to vote whether to accept the donations on Tuesday.
  • Sowles Co. is asking the council for a five-year interim use permit that would allow the business to store a 113-foot-tall crane, trailers, vehicles and other equipment on its property at 3045 Sibley Memorial Highway. Storage of the crane parts and equipment would take place on the northwest portions of the 24-acre site. The council is expected to discuss whether a gravel surface is an acceptable surface in some storage areas.
