Expect lane closures and traffic delays in the Town Centre area of Eagan, thanks to multiple construction projects on Yankee Doodle Road and Denmark Avenue.

The left lanes of eastbound and westbound Yankee Doodle Road near Denmark Avenue are closed while Dakota County crews replace the concrete median and install storm sewer improvements. County crews are also making pedestrian safety and traffic flow changes to the traffic signals at the intersection of Denmark and Yankee Doodle. In a simultaneous but separate project, Eagan's Public Works Department is resurfacing portions of Denmark Avenue, according to Public Works Director Russ Matthys. The majority of construction on both projects should be complete by mid-August, Matthys said.

Until then, drivers should expect delays as long as two minutes while traveling through the area, Matthys said.
