The Dakota County Community Development Agency has asked the council to approve a site plan for a 28-unit affordable housing development in Eagan.

The Eagan City Council will convene at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night at City Hall to hold a special meeting. Here's a preview of a selection of agenda items the council is expected to discuss. For a full agenda, click here.

  • Noodles & Co. has applied for an on-sale beer and wine licenses for its soon-to-be-opened location at 2000 Rahncliff Ct. in Eagan. The council is expected to review the request and vote whether to approve the licenses.
  • The Eagan Police Department's current SWAT team equipment trailer is undersized, and police officials want to purchase a larger truck to replace it. The department has submitted specifications for a replacement truck and will likely ask the council on Tuesday for permisison to seek bids for the vehicle. The truck will allow for the safe and timely transport of gear and personnel during critical incidents.
  • The Eagan Convenience Center at 1380 Duckwood Dr. will soon have a new tenant—a chiropractic clinic called "The Joint"—and property owners have asked the council to approve a variance allowing the center to install a new panel on its pylon sign adjacent to the center.
  • Late last year, the Dakota County Community Development Agency unveiled plans to build along Hwy. 13 in Eagan. At a meeting on Dec. 12, the Eagan council directed staff to submit a Comprehensive Guide Plan Land Use amendment to the Metropolitan Council for review. The Met Council approved the amendment earlier in March. Now, the council is expected to vote whether to approve rezoning, final platting and a site plan for the 4.3-acre property in Eagan.
  • The Eagan Economic Development Authority is reviewing and may vote to renew an agreement with Pratty Development, the master developer for the Cedar Grove Redevelopment Area, and Cassidy Turley, a marketing firm responsible for recruiting developers and investment in the site.
