The Eagan City Council will convene at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night at to hold a regular meeting. Here's a preview of a selection of agenda items the council is expected to discuss. For a full agenda, click here.

  • The council is expected to approve a resolution to accept a cash donation of $56,904.86 from the Eagan Athletic Association for the construction of a new storage building at the The athletic assocation, which has worked with the city in the past, provides much of the equipment for programs at that park and had identified a need for additional storage space. The city plans to retain ownership of the building, which will be used exclusively by the association.
  • Aspen Waste, a business located along Terminal Drive in Eagan, received a conditional use permit in January to allow the storage of trucks and waste containers on their site. The permit included a white block wall to screen the site from the road. The council is expected to vote whether to approve a modification to their site plan that would allow a black metal fence with mesh screening in place of the white block fence.
  • Last week, the Eagan Advisory Parks and Recreation Commission presented a $475,000, five-year capital improvement plan that includes developing an irrigation system for the festival grounds, an expansion to the Central Park playground, upgraded signage for park trails in the city and development, among other projects. The council is expected to vote whether to approve the plan on Tuesday.
