The Eagan City Council will convene at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday night at City Hall to hold a special council meeting. Here's a preview of a selection of agenda items the council is expected to discuss. For a full agenda, click here.

  • Traditionally, Eagan's City Council members meet with members of Eagan's legislative delegation in January to discuss the city's legislative priorities. This year will be no different. The city has already established a priority list that will serve as a discussion guide during the meeting. Issues on that list include: funding for improvements to the Cedar Avenue Bus Rapid Transit corridor, potential modifications to the statewide rules governing Tax-Increment Financing (TIF) Districts, minimizing the impact of foreclosures by providing new tools for cities and amending the state's tax code to provide incentives for multi-tenant data centers, among other priorities.
  • On June 5, 2012, the council approved an agreement with the Dakota County Transportation Department to conduct a corridor study along a congested stretch of Pilot Knob Road in Eagan. On Tuesday, the council will get a chance to review and comment on an early draft of the study results.
