The Eagan City Council will convene at 5:30 p.m. on Monday night at City Hall to hold a special council meeting. Here's a preview of a selection of agenda items the council is expected to discuss. For a full agenda, click here.

  • In September, longtime Eagan City Administrator Tom Hedges announced that he plans to retire early next year. His departure triggered the search for a new city administrator—a process that will likely begin Monday night when the Eagan City Council meets with recruitment firm Brimeyer Fursman to discuss a selection process and a city administrator "position profile" drafted by the firm for use in recruiting candidates.
  • The search for a new city administrator isn't the only agenda item on tap tonight. The council is expected to review the proposed 2013 enterprise fund budgets, including the budgets for Cascade Bay, the Eagan Community Center and street lighting, among other funds. As part of a separate agenda item, the council is also expected to review the proposed 2013 E-TV budget.
  • The council is also expected to host a joint meet meeting with the Eagan Airport Relations Commission to discuss the committee's proposed 2012-2013 work plan. They are also expected to hear a Federal Aviation Administration presentation on performance-based navigation procedures.
