Eagan Primary Election Scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 14

Voters will get a chance to choose between two Democratic candidates in House District 51A in Eagan on Tuesday.

Local Democrats Sandy Masin and Milton Walden will square off for House District 51A on Tuesday, Aug. 14 in the statewide primary election. Walden, a Burnsville resident, announced earlier this year that he would not be actively campaigning for the seat, despite having his name on the ballot.

The two aren't the only local candidates that will appear on the primary ballot in Eagan. Republican David Gerson has challenged Rep. John Kline (R) in the Second Congressional District. Polls in Eagan will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

Lorie Skjerven Gildea, Jill Clark and Dan Griffith are all vying for the position of Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice. Alan Nelson, Tim Tingelstad and David R. Stras are contending in the primary for Minnesota Supreme Court Associate Justice, Seat 4.
