The Metropolitan Council awarded Lakeshore Family Townhomes with a $200,000 grant toward the construction of a 50-unit townhome development, targeted to families with children.

"Plans for the complex include three one-bedroom units, 22 two-bedroom units and 25 three-bedroom units, along with gazebo and a toddler playground area," according to Sun Thisweek.

The grant was part of the nearly $5.4 million in Livable Communities Funds the Metropolitan Council awarded to projects in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Eagan, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Richfield and Robbinsdale.
