MnDOT: Lane Closures Hitting Northbound Highway 77 on Sept. 24

Motorists will likely encounter traffic delays, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Motorists will encounter delays as northbound Highway 77 is reduced to a single lane between 138th Street and Diffley Road beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24.

In addition, the ramp from northbound Highway 77 to Diffley Road and the ramp from Cliff Road to northbound Highway 77 also will close at 5 a.m.

The lane and ramp closures are necessary as crews conduct concrete repair.

The lanes are scheduled to reopen by Sept. 28, and the ramps are scheduled to reopen by Sept. 29.

Motorists are advised to use a signed detour to bypass the ramp closure.

The work is part of the five-mile long Highway 77 Better Roads project http://www.dot.state.mn.us/betterroads/.  When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride and improved drainage and guardrail in the area.
