VIDEO: House Minority Leader Takes Aim at Anderson, Wardlow

Minnesota House of Representatives Minority Leader Paul Thissen spoke in Eagan on Sunday.

Republican mismanagement has given Minnesota Democrats a "tremendous opportunity" to retake the state legislature in 2012, according to House Minority Leader Paul Thissen, who spoke on Sunday in Eagan.

Thissen was speaking in front of supporters at Senate District 38 DFL group's True Blue Party at a private home in Eagan. A number of Democratic candidates for the local House and Senate seats, statewide DFL office holders and Minnesota DFL party officials convened with local residents during the event. Thissen told attendees at the gathering that Republicans have no interest in making sure the Minnesotan middle class finds success, and targeted local Republican legislators Rep. Diane Anderson (R) and Rep. Doug Wardlow (R) with his comments.

Wardlow, Thissen said, is more concerned with a policy related to administrative law judges than creating jobs or solving budget problems.

"And Diane Anderson, I'm don't even know what she's working on, quite honestly, because I have not heard from her on the House floor," Thissen said. "These people are not representing the people of this district very well."
