Readers' Choice: Best Veterinarian

When your four-legged friends get ill, where do you turn in northern Dakota County for help? Patch wants to know.

Our pets, the old saying goes, are like members of the family.

With one exception: When a dog or cat gets sick, they can't tell you what's wrong. That's why the family veterinarian has become such an important figure in many peoples' lives, offering invaluable advice to keep our four-legged friends happy as long as possible, and when that's no longer possible, at least providing a comfortable departure from this world.

When your best-friend-with-fur gets sick, to whom do you turn? Is there one particular vet in Eagan, Mendota Heights or Inver Grove Heights who has brought joy and comfort to you and your loved ones, including those of the furry persuasion?

Nominate your favorite vet in the comments below.

We will take nominations starting this week. Nominations end July 9 and voting will run from July 23 to Aug. 17.

Companion animal hospital in Eagan. I have three geriatric pets (1dog, 2cats) and the vets there are great. Latest crisis was just yesterday when the dog got into a package of Decon in the neighbors garage about 20 mins before closing. They got us in right away to avert a possible disaster. Whenever i have a question, the vet calls and explains things in detail and in english. Been using this clinic for over 9 years. We see Dr Sheila Megan most of the time but Dr Miller is great too! (She came to the rescue for us last night.
