District 191 Hosts Information Meetings for Magnet Schools
The first information session will occur at Rahn Elementary School of Arts and Technology in Eagan.
The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District will host parent information sessions for its magnet schools after the first of the year.
The elementary and middle school magnet programs offer "academic choices and unique learning opportunities in addition to the district's core curriculum," according to the district.
Information sessions will occur on the following dates:
- Rahn Elementary School of Arts and Technology (4424 Sandstone Drive in Eagan): Jan. 7, at 6 p.m.
- Harriet Bishop Gifted and Talented Elementary (14400 O'Connell Road in Savage): Jan. 13, at 6:30 p.m.
- Nicollet Junior High AVID college readiness program (400 East 134th Street in Burnsville): Jan. 23, at 7 p.m.
- Metcalf Junior High STEM Magnet Program (2250 Diffley Road in Burnsville): Jan. 27, at 6 p.m.
Parents with children outside District 191 boundaries who are interested in the district's magnet schools are also invited to attend the information sessions.
