District 196 to Host College Fair in EHS Commons

About 100 public and private colleges and universities to be featured at the event

For high school sophomores and juniors, college is on the mind: What to major in? Minor in? Where to go? Moving out of state? When to apply? Cost? How will it get paid? Should you join the military?

No doubt there's a lot to think about when applying to colleges or deciding to enter the military. Luckily, District 196 is hosting a Minnesota Education Fair (MEF), which is sponsored by the Minnesota Association of College Admission Counselors (MACAC). The event is free and will be located in the Eagan High School commons this Thursday, March 17 from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

"Approximately 100 public and private colleges and universities, community and technical colleges, and military organizations will be represented at the fair," according to a district press release.

The fair will give students and parents the opportunity to explore a variety of options for post-high school education, technical training or military service, the press release continued.

Students and parents will have the opportunity to speak with school representatives and ask any questions they may have. They will also be able to pick up information about the schools and organizations.
