Eagan's Doubles Team Ends State Run
Hollidge, Ekstein drop pair of matches at Class AA state tournament
The Eagan boys tennis team’s season officially ended Thursday at the Class AA state doubles tournament as the Wildcats’ lone doubles participant lost a pair of contests at the University of Minnesota Baseline Tennis Center.
Eagan senior Brendan Hollidge and freshman Zach Ekstein lost their first match of the day to St. Paul Harding in a 6-4, 6-1 match. They followed it up with a 7-6 (6-5), 7-5 defeat against Eden Prairie’s Yiding Hou and Michael Chen 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 in the consolation quarterfinals.
