Rasmussen College in Eagan Opens Law Enforcement Training Facility

The college will show off its new facility during an open house event on Wednesday.

Rasmussen College announced the opening of its new law enforcement training facility around the start of the new year.

The new facility includes seven scenario rooms where students can practice the skills and operations they may need as an office in such places as a bank, bar, apartment and convenience store, according to a Rasmussen College news release.

The facility also includes, according to the release:

  • A padded room for physical assessments and use of force training.
  • A simulator room featuring MILO, a video simulator that tests proper techniques and problem-solving skills and provides instructors and students with immediate feedback to aid instruction.
Teaching the classes are current and retired police officers from law enforcement agencies around the metro.

Rasmussen College is holding a ribbon cutting and open house from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8. During the open house, attendees will be able to tour the facility and observe mock scenarios.
