Eagan High School senior Megan Wolfe always wanted to be a Golden Gopher.

The star hockey player got her wish on Wednesday, when she signed a letter of intent to play hockey at the University of Minnesota. Wolfe was one of seven high school seniors to sign on the dotted line during a National Signing Day ceremony in the EHS Auditorium.

"These young ladies are exemplary, we know that, and they’ve had a wonderful opportunity to perform here, but now they go on to do some hard work as college students," Eagan High School Principal Dr. Polly Reikowski said at the ceremony.

The fact that all the participating athletes at the ceremony were young women wasn't lost on Reikowski, who grew up before athletic activities were widely available for women.

"For those of us who remember how it was, it’s even more amazing," Reikowski said.

The following is a complete list of the athletes participating in the signing ceremony on Wednesday, their future plans and family members.
