All You Need to Know for the Boys Hockey State Tournament

Eagan High School will play Moorhead at 1 p.m. this Thursday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

The state hockey tournament begins at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, for the Eagan High School boys hockey team.

The Wildcats, who have been seeded third in the tournament, will play Moorhead at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The high school will have a limited amount of tickets for the tournament available this week. Tickets for students go on sale on Tuesday, but the general public will not be able to purchase tickets until 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the high school's Spirit Hall. Upper Bowl student tickets are $11 and all lower bowl and and club level tickets are $17.

Students who plan to attend the game must have a signed parent permission form. Forms will be available for pick-up at the high school's attendance office on Monday. For more information about tickets, click here. The school also plans to adjust its finals testing schedule to accommodate the Thursday game.

and has a 24-3-1 record so far in this year. Moorhead is 21-6 coming into the state tournament and beat Brainerd in a close 3-1 game on March 1.

If Eagan defeats Moorhead on Thursday, the team would play again at 6 p.m. on March 9. If they secure another victory there, the Wildcats would proceed to the championship round at 7 p.m. on March 10.
