Eagan 9A Girls Basketball Takes Third At State
The Wildcats finished the season with a 23-2 record
The Eagan HS 9A Girls team took third place at the Minnesota Youth Athletic Services 9A state tournament on March 5-6 at Prior Lake.
The Wildcats were the No. 1 seed in the state tournament receiving a first round bye. They defeated Prior Lake, 42-35, but lost in the semifinals to Orono, 51-43. Eagan bounced back from the loss with two strong performances defeating Moundsview, 61-45, and then Chanhassen in the third place game 47-41.
The Girls finished the season with a final record of 23-2—including a 20-1 mark in regular season play. They won the South Suburban Conference with a 13-0 record.
