Eagan Athletes Compete in Hamline Elite Meet

Eagan High School sends their top track and field athletes to this prestigious meet

The Eagan girls track and field team was represented at Friday’s Hamline Elite meet in St. Paul.

The Wildcats’ Emerald Egwim finished sixth overall in the 100 meter dash with a finals time of 12.93. Robbinsdale Armstrong’s Sid’Reshia won the event in 12.57. 

In the 3200 meter run, Danielle Anderson finished eighth overall with a time of 11:23.33. Alexandria’s Jamie Piepenberg won the race with a new meet record of 10:45.84—which broke Shakopee’s Maria Hauger’s previous record of 10:50.45 set last year.

The Hamline Elite meet is a statewide qualify-only event based on the athletes’ previous results during the 2011 season.
