Eagan's Stevens Places Ninth In State Swim Event
Stevens takes a ninth-place finish in the girls 100-yard backstroke in the state high school swimming meet Saturday
junior Nicole Stevens won the consolation finals in the 100-yard backstroke in the 2011 MSHSL Girls AA Swimming and Diving Championship Saturday.
Competing in the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, Stevens finished ninth overall in a time of 1:05.61. Her finishing time was actually the fifth fastest in Saturday's two finals.
Stevens was the only Eagan swimmer to advance to the top 16 in an event at the state meet.
